After admission as a solicitor John worked in the commercial section of Clayton Utz and with Leslie Winter & Co.

Since admission to the Bar in 1978 John has maintained a practice in the Commercial and Common Law areas appearing in the Supreme Court including the Court of Appeal, District and Local Court.

His practice covers a wide area but John specialises in cases involving all aspects of common law (including major motor vehicle claims, occupier’s liability claims, claims against contractors and s.151 Z recovery actions), professional liability, product liability and insurance law generally. John also specialises in claims against local councils and other public authorities.

John frequently appears on behalf of clients at mediations and other forms of dispute resolution.
