Background
Jae Park is a barrister at Sir Owen Dixon Chambers with over 16 years of experience in criminal law. Before being called to the Bar in 2017, he served over 7 years as a Police Prosecutor, appearing daily in the Local Court on behalf of the NSW Police Force. This role provided him with a strong foundation in criminal procedure, evidence, and courtroom advocacy.
Since coming to the Bar, Jae has practised predominantly in criminal law, appearing extensively in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales. He has conducted numerous defended hearings in the Local Court and has run many jury trials and sentencing proceedings in the District Court. He regularly appears in the Supreme Court on bail applications and has also appeared in the Court of Criminal Appeal in appellate matters.

While his principal focus remains criminal law, Jae also accepts briefs in family law matters and appears at NCAT in administrative law proceedings.
Fluent in both English and Korean, Jae frequently assists Korean-speaking clients in navigating the legal system with confidence and clarity.
He is recognised for his persuasive courtroom advocacy, meticulous preparation, and his ability to deliver clear, practical and strategic advice to clients and instructing solicitors.
