Background
Sophia accepts briefs in all areas of law, with a particular focus on family law, criminal law, and succession.
Sophia began her career as a legal assistant at Slater and Gordon. As an undergraduate, she undertook volunteer work at the Redfern Legal Centre. She spent two and a half years as a research clerk to a senior junior barrister, conducting legal research and preparing written materials for use in first instance and appellate proceedings in criminal law, family law, and family provision. As a solicitor, she gained experience in advocacy across multiple areas of civil litigation.
Sophia was awarded a Master of Laws with distinction from the University of Sydney in 2025.
Immediately prior to joining the Bar in 2025, Sophia was Associate to a judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Sophia accepts briefs to appear in both metropolitan and regional courts.
